Marcedes Shindler

Marcedes is a naïve of Knoxville, Tennessee. She comes from a family of hoteliers, which explains her love of hotels and the hospitality industry. After graduating high school, she lived in New York City for five years where she extended her hospitality career at the Hard Rock Café while she attended St. John’s University studying Graphic Design and playing Division 1 volleyball. A move back to Knoxville reconnected her to the family business while completing her degree at the University of Tennessee. Her hospitality career has taken her from washing dishes and waiting tables through nearly every position, to leadership in sales and multi-unit management. She comes to Gibson Hotel Management with over 20 years of hospitality experience. She has developed successful teams across multiple hotel brands including Hilton and Marriott properties. Her free time is spent with her husband, Jim, their dog, Prince, their many friends, and family. They love to attend music and sporting events and exploring new food venues in the region.
