Darrell Short
Director of Accounting
Darrell came to GHMI with experience in the hotel industry since 1987 in his hometown of Morristown, TN. He worked with the brands of Ramada Inn, Best Western and Holiday Inn (IHG) and held positions of Night Auditor, Front Desk Manager, Rooms Division Manager, Bookkeeper, Assistant General Manager, and General Manager. In his role at GHMI, Darrell works closely with the hotels on their daily reports and ledgers. He is responsible for the hotel bank accounts and monthly financial packets for all GHMI hotels. Annually he prepares business tax, annual reports, and 1099 filings. On display in Darrell’s office is his favorite saying “perfect will be fine” embroidered and framed by a former employee. Darrell enjoys watching a variety of sports on TV and tends to his tropical fish aquarium.
