Alan Martin
Vice President of Development and Operations
Alan Martin joined Gibson Hotel Management Inc in 2013. He began his time with GHMI as an Assistant General Manager of our Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott – Kodak, TN, where he went on to become the General Manager. He then served as General Manager for the Fairfield Inn by Marriott - Owensboro, KY while completing renovations prior to becoming the Opening General Manager for the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott – Johnson City. After a successful opening, Alan was promoted to Director of Operations|Development to continue to provide support to the management and development teams with current and new opening properties
Alan has worked in the Hospitality/Service industry for over a decade. After leaving the Army, he worked in various Customer Service jobs prior to attending college. In 2012, Alan graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor’s of Science in Marketing and Logistics. He participates with Wounded Warrior Projects for Veterans and Habitat for Humanity through Marriott. He also brings an extensive knowledge of the Marriott brand, along with an extremely high level of enthusiasm and passion for the hotel industry.
